On Sabbath, September 9, the worship service at the church in Jesi was held by the local Women's Ministries (WM) Department, concluding the "Working Hands" seminar in service to others, which began in January 2023. The special time began with a stage performance of Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman, which was very well performed. There followed some reports on the various topics covered in the seminar: hands that work with hope and compassion, with readiness and sacrifice, with joy and conviction, with liberality. Also, there was the performance of a beautiful song by a quartet who praised the Lord with deep feeling.
Then, the WM leader in Jesi, Elisabeth Penagos, presented a scarf with the department's logo and a pin with the seminary's logo to the women who participated in the series of meetings. And, to be even more inclusive, a small gift was also given to all the many people in the room. The final blessing by Michele Abiusi, pastor emeritus, concluded this part of the Sabbath, which was experienced harmoniously and peacefully, with a hint of emotion.
This was the first time the WM department had organized a seminar of a spiritual nature, and it was a positive experience, which ended in a very touching way.
"It may be that some of us have had an encounter with the Lord, some of us haven't, but sooner or later they will have that opportunity too," was the wish of Elizabeth who, with gentleness and determination, is committed to carrying on Women's Ministries in the church in Jesi.
As reported by Mira Fabrizi, a member of the Jesi church.
