Words of Inspiration

Be a Light in this Dark World

As we step into the Advent season, we remember that Jesus stepped into a hurting world with hope, not fear, and we get to reflect that same light.
Here are a couple of simple ways we can bring God’s love into places touched by pain:

Listen deeply. Sometimes the holiest thing we can offer is a safe, judgment-free space.

Check in on a woman the Holy Spirit brings to mind. A quick message can break through deep loneliness and hurt.

Speak up when something feels “off.” Let this Advent invite firm and Spirit-led courage.

Share resources quietly and kindly. A hotline, a counselling link, or a helping hand.

Pray for hidden stories. God sees every tear. Our prayers join His work of restoration.
We as Seventh-Day Adventists know that Advent isn’t only about waiting.
It’s also about participating, choosing to be a light, and spreading the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ in a world that sometimes seems too dark.
May we become women who not only shine but also reach out with tenderness, wisdom, and bold hope to all the women around us.
If you feel led, share one way you want to bring hope to someone this week.
Let’s inspire one another
