Can God really Turn a Wound into a Wonder? Yes, he can, and that is something we experienced during the women’s retreat from March 31 to April 2 in the beautiful house Schwarzwaldsonne in Freudenstadt. Our speaker Simone Riedel took us along on her very personal journey with God. Our hearts were deeply moved by her topics: Is God really good? How do I live with pain and how do I stay spiritually healthy? Simone's life was a visible testimony for us that we should not give up even in the hardest of life situations and to continue to hold on to the conviction: God is good, ALWAYS!
Barbara Devantier from the Backnang church reports how she experienced these days:
I experienced the first Adventist women's weekend in 2019, when I was inspired by a customer who invited me to visit the Adventist church in Backnang and who also took me to the next women's weekend right away. This time, we were 60+ women. It was a wonderful weekend with many good encounters, interesting conversations and an excellent program.
Marion and her team Susanna and Tanja were very well coordinated and everything worked like clockwork. Wonderful prayers and talks were held, with contents that went to the heart, moved to tears and evoked heartfelt compassion. We all felt sympathy for Simone and her life. The musical side was also done most finely by Anne, Michi and Susanna, as well as Rebecca, a wonderful mixture of piano and guitar accompanied our large women's choir. And the kitchen staff took care of our physical well-being with delicious food, just like in 2019. Everything was so tasty, appetizing, a splendor to the eyes and a delight to the palate. It was a time filled with joy that I would not want to miss in my memories.
