In May 2020, the traditional time for a women's weekend at Lake Wittensee, we could have enjoyed the sight of the canola fields in blooom around Lake Wittensee. Instead, we had to postpone the weekend until November. And then again we were faced with the choice of either canceling the event or using the Zoom function. In the end, the regulations left us no choice. We had missed each other very much and were looking forward to at least meet via Zoom and enjoy the weekend in a different way.
Sisters from Belgium, Norway and from all over Germany joined our regulars' group. Our speaker, Heidi Albisser from beautiful Switzerland, addressesd the topic: "The most important things are given as gifts".
On Friday November 13, at 19:00 the program began with songs and prayer. The three themes of the weekend were: How to recognize God's gifts? How to enjoy God's gifts and finally, Share God's gifts.
We are beloved daughters of God and bearers of hope which we can pass on to younger generations (Ephesians 3). In a world that suffers, this gives us courage, strength and hope. (Isaiah 44, 1-8)
Heidi shared this quote from Lothar Zenetti with us: " People who live by hope see further/ People who live by love see deeper/ People who live by faith see everything in a different light.
On Sabbath morning we were privileged to enjoy a special gift. Johanna Gross played for us on the flute "Dance of the blessed Spirit" (Christoph W. Gluck, 1714). Afterwards we listened to the song "One Hope", performed by Adventist brothers and sisters from all over the world.
We ended this wonderful day with a chat and coffee, tea and cake or cookies (via zoom). We really received many gifts on this weekend.
We as Team Women HANSA feel most blessed, because you were there!
