Women's Weekend in Bavaria

Ellen in Color

On October 10, after a ten-hour train ride, I was very happy to finally arrive in Bavaria. A women's weekend took place there from October 11 to 13. Women's weekends offer great opportunities to meet friends and spend an uplifting time together. This allowed me to fulfill my wish to visit my friend Lydia in her home region.
With Dr. Chantal Klingbeil, we took a biographical journey to the beginnings of our church community, when God chose a young woman named Ellen Gould Harmon to serve us with a special message. Through her former position as associate director of the Ellen White Estate in the USA, Chantal Klingbeil became particularly familiar with the work and life of Ellen White.
Who was Ellen? Under the title “Ellen in Color,” 60 women embarked on this journey. With different expectations, we started the weekend on Friday, October 11. Through many anecdotes and stories from her life, Ellen became tangible to us.
It is exciting to hear how women have dedicated their lives to God and how God has guided and blessed them throughout their lives. This was also the case with Rosi, who was honored for her longtime service in the Bavarian Women's Ministries Working Group that weekend, especially because it was also her birthday.
What a blessed time of fellowship we had in the Allgäu region. I thank Bavarian Women’s Ministries Director Lydia Lukic and her team for their warm hospitality.
