Right at the beginning of the new year, the Seventh-Day Adventist church in Linz had the great joy of welcoming Elida Oncea, the Austrian Women's Ministries department director.
We spent a blessed women's prayer Sabbath together. The general theme was: "Full Life through Surrender" with the sermon topic "What Do You Have in Your Hand?" Moses only had his staff, but how many miracles did God work through this staff? A prophet's widow had nothing in her house but a jar of oil. She trusted God and He worked a great miracle that ensured the family's survival. Elida encouraged us to make available to God what we have. God can use everything we do prayerfully to bring people into contact with Him. God expects our initiative and willingness to sacrifice.
We also had the opportunity to exchange ideas over a cozy lunch, after which Elida spoke on the topic: "What are you doing here?" We were able to empathize with the prophet Elijah and were encouraged by Elida's personal experiences to give our utmost for His highest.
