From Novemer 24-26 the Women’s Ministries Team and the Girls4Christ Team of the Baden-Württemberg Conference met in Freudenstadt in order to plan the work for the next 4-year period. An evaluation of past activities was the starting point, after which decisions were made as to which activities should be continued and what new actions should be taken up. The needs of women of all ages were taken into consideration. A new idea is a planned “Draw near retreat”, meaning a creative day of encounter. Girls and women would be invited to a brunch with a following program of a vivid time of praise, devotion and prayer with creative possibilities with a spiritual focus (Scripture doodle, Bible Art Journaling etc.) intended to lead them closer to Jesus.
On the last day the teams worked on their separate agendas, preparing special programs and actions. As special guests at the team advisory we welcomed Thomas Knirr, Mission director of the Baden-Württemberg Conference and Angelika Pfaller, Women’s Ministries Director for Germany.
I want to express heartfelt thanks to the spirit-filled members of both teams who have found their place in God’s ministry and who devote their gifts to the Lord and their sisters and brothers in the church.
