Do you remember Liudmila Biscardi? In 2016, Ludmila was awarded a Women’s Ministries Scholarship when she was a third-year Theology student at the Italian Adventist University “Villa Aurora”, in Florence, Italy. It is nice to know where God has placed her to serve. After getting her master’s degree in Theology, still in Villa Aurora, she started her internship in two Adventist local churches in Rome and Frosinone. This summer, she completed her training and moved to be the pastor of three churches in South Italy. On September 1, 2022, she started her work as a pastor of the Adventist local churches in Scafa, Lesina, and Pescara. We continue to pray for Liudmila, asking God to give her wisdom and strength in her service.
A new WM Scholarship
This year, the Women's Ministries Scholarship 2022 was awarded to Elisa Ghiuzan, a third-year student of Theology at the Italian Adventist University “Villa Aurora”, in Florence, Italy. “I'm grateful to write and to give you my most sincere thanks for allowing me to receive the General Conference Women's Ministries Scholarship and EUD Women’s Ministries Scholarship Spring 2022 through your work”, says Elisa. “Your work”, she adds “is a blessing that helps many women in various ways, in fact, your work blesses me too by helping me in my last year of studies in theology at Villa Aurora. I hope that one day we can meet and share our stories personally. In the meantime, I share with you these verses from Psalm 25: 4, 5 which say: “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.”
Elisa was born in an Adventist family, and when she was 18 years old she said “Yes” to Jesus. “At 18, I made myself available to become an instrument to make God's love known to others in words and deeds. It is not easy, it is a responsibility to be an instrument of God, but thanks to and through Him everything is possible. God has a plan for each one of us and we must fulfill it” says Elisa.
A new WM Scholarship story has started. It is the story of a girl who wants to serve God. I will tell you the rest as time passes, but now is the time to pray for her, while she is studying.
