The Women's Ministries scholarship program has been established to give scholarships to women who are committed to serving the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and who would otherwise be unable to afford a Christian education.
Scholarship awards are based on academic achievement, financial need, and community outreach. Specific amounts of scholarship awards vary each year and are dependent on the funds available. The scholarship fund helps young women who are preparing to serve in the ministry to complete their education. The scholarship is made up of a portion of the proceeds from the English Women’s Devotional, as well as donations from individuals who wish to support the education and advancement of women in our church. The deadline for submitting your application to your division Women's Ministries director is May 31.
In the last 10 years, 57 women have been awarded scholarships through the Scholarship Program in the EUD. Of these, 31 women studied theology at various theological institutions in the EUD area. The others studied social work, education, medicine, and music.
Some of these women are now active pastors in congregations or have leadership roles in the treasury department, or are active as hospital chaplains or in the education department. If you would like to see more women in the pastoral ministry you can help achieve this goal by supporting the Women’s Ministries Scholarship Fund with your donations.
