Women's Ministries Scholarship awarded to Friedensau Theology Student

Darja Rinklake tells about how God changed her plans

Angelika Pfaller, Women's Ministries Director for the two German Unions presented a scholarship to Darja Rinklake, a theology student at Friedensau University, Germany. Please read what Darja has to say:
„’I will never study theology. And never at Friedensau University.’ That was my conviction until about three years ago. I always wanted to become a teacher and so I planned to study education in Hamburg. But then I swapped the big city with a small village with a heart. City fumes with forest air. Large auditoriums with small classrooms with few students. Sometimes I am still surprised how things have changed. God’s plans are so much higher and better than my own plans. While I was making my plans God had other intentions with me – thank God!
I wouldn’t claim that it is easy to study theology, particularly not when you are a woman. And yet I know that God is leading me and loves me. Every day I look forward to the small and bigger surprises and gifts He has prepared for me. I have had so many experiences with God during this time and again and again I realize: God is Love! Money is no obstacle for serving Him – God helps on time. He has so many ways and possibilities to bless us, including this scholarship. My intention is to continue towards a Master’s degree in Theology. I am also especially interested in counseling. I am excited to find out where God will lead me in the future.
I want to express heartfelt thanks the Women’s Ministries Department (EUD) for the scholarship I was awarded.”
