Women’s Ministries Sabbath in Greifswald, Hanse Conference

I am worthy because I am affirmed by God

My heart rejoices when I look at the photos of the women’s sabbath on September 11, 2021, in Greifswald, at the eastern corner of the Hanse Conference. Many women came to Greifswald as they were able to be together again after a long time. We were delighted to welcome Renate Dost as our guest speaker. After the church service in the morning, 26 women stayed for the afternoon program. In her sermon, Renate Dost reflected on the greatness of God’s love for us, His children. “Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life“ Isaiah 43.4 NIV
After the lunch break, the program continued in the afternoon and we considered our value: "What I am good at...- What others appreciate about me...- What I find difficult....What I have always wanted to do or be able to do...“ We answered the questions for ourselves and talked about them and thought about how we can see ourselves in a new way. The words of Antje Sabine Naegeli still resound in our thoughts: "I am worthy because I am wanted and affirmed by you. Lord, you are my God; you take me and protect me from other people and myself. That I am worthy in your eyes is beyond anything I can feel or comprehend, but your promises are more reliable than my fickle feelings."
