The Women’s Ministry group in A Coruña organized various Christmas activities, offering the community opportunities for learning, creativity, and fellowship. During two special days in December 2025, participants were able to develop manual and culinary skills while sharing moments of unity and joy.
Embroidering Christmas cards
On Monday, December 8, taking advantage of the holiday, a Christmas card embroidery course was held, requested by the participants themselves. The aim of the activity was for the women to create cards to give to co-workers, friends, family members, or members of the community.
The morning was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and complicity. Eighteen women attended, including five friends who had already participated in other women's gatherings. Each attendee took home at least one finished card, along with a big smile and gratitude to the course leader, Begoña Guerrero, who taught the class with attention and dedication to each participant.
The designs included Christmas trees, candles, tassels, snowmen, and stars, allowing each woman to choose her favorite model and enjoy the creative process.
Vegetarian Christmas sweets with chef David Blanco
On Sunday, December 14, a course on vegetarian Christmas sweets was held, taught by renowned chef David Blanco from A Coruña. The activity took place at the Adventist church in A Coruña, which has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and all the necessary utensils for this type of workshop.
The course offered healthy alternatives for preparing traditional sweets, such as cookies and nougat, without compromising on flavor or quality. Attendees received a recipe book with varied menus, healthy ingredient substitutions, and shopping recommendations. The day was dynamic, with many questions and tastings, and the positive response led to the coordination of a second course.
Several members of the community attended as guests, leaving satisfied and enthusiastic about participating in future activities, thus strengthening the bonds of fellowship and learning promoted by the Women's Ministries.
