Women's Ministries Emphasis Day is on the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Calendar of Days and Events and falls on the second Sabbath each June, this year on June 14. It is an opportunity for women to lead out in a worship service and a time to educate the church regarding the purposes of Women's Ministries. It is an ideal occasion to introduce your leaders and activities to the church family and to invite women who have not been involved to join.
The theme for this year’s emphasis day on June 14 is Cravings of the Soul. The material provided by the General Conference Women’s Ministries Department includes a sermon and two seminars to choose from. We crave rest for our souls, but we will not find this rest unless we cling to Jesus and find our identity, purpose, and satisfaction in our relationship with Him. The second seminar, “Masterpiece in the Making,” continues this topic and reminds us that God is still completing the process He has started on us. Both seminars provide practical applications relevant to every woman. The writers call us to spend quality time with God, deepen our relationship with Him, discover our purpose and God-given gifts, and find the satisfaction for which our souls long.
“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life’ ” (John 4:13, 14).
We encourage you to make WM Emphasis Day something special in your church, with church services and programs that show how God wants women to place their gifts at His service in the church and in the world.
