WOMEN'S MINISTRIES EMPHASIS DAY 2020 IN FRANCE

WOMEN MEET ONLINE

The Women’s Ministries department of the South France Converence organized a virtual meeting for women on June 13, 2020, the Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day for the world-wide church.
In the morning we benefited from sermons presented by three women. Yvette du Mesnil d'Engente spoke about "God's love for me", Doris Vargas-Hordosch about "God's love in me" Marie-Pierre Péchoux addressed the topic "God's love through me".
The day continued in the afternoon with small group discussions with a maximum of 10 participants each on the theme of friendship, concentrating on four questions:
1- How do we define friendship?
2- What is the meaning of friendship and what does it bring to your life?
3- How do we prevent toxic friendships?
4- As a Christian, what more can we bring to friendship? What is the place of prayer in your friendships and how can it be implemented?
Participation was possible either by videoconference or by telephone. We had just over 100 connections in the morning and over 60 in the afternoon. This allowed women from other Conferencess, Unions and Divisions to participate.
It is difficult to estimate the total number of participants, but we know that one connection sometimes brought together up to 10 people.
I want to praise our Lord for the quality and success of this day. We had a taste of sisterhood in spite of the mandatory confinements.
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."Hebrews 10:25
