Women’s Ministries Advisory in Romania

The Advisory for the Romanian Women’s Ministries Coordinators from the Union and Conferences took place between April 13 and 15, 2018, in the wonderful mountain resort of Moieciu de Sus, Brasov County. We enjoyed the blessed presence of our friend, Denise Hochstrasser, EUD WM Director and the new elected WM director, Dagmar Dorn. The advisory was a wonderful opportunity both for the EUD leaders and Romanian coordinators to get to know each other, to pray and share life experiences, to open their hearts to God and to each other.
Denise presented the WM vision and strategy and God’s expectations for WM leaders through examples of women of faith from the Bible. Dagmar presented the vibrant example of the life and work of Sarepta Myrinda Henry, the first director and initiator of the WM Department of the SDA church dating back to 1900. The strong relationship with Ellen White and the support Sister Henry received from her is a great example and a strong encouragement for today’s WM leaders.
Each Romanian WM coordinator from the conferences presented a report with pictures of their projects. They also shared their joys and the challenges they face in their work for Women’s Ministries.
We thank God for the opportunity to be together in His service and ask Him to send the Holy Spirit into the lives of each of our leaders in order to strengthen them so that they will be able to complete His work in these last days before Christ’s soon coming.
