Women’s International Day of Prayer in Paris, France

Franco-Belgian Union

On March 16, Corina Timofté, the new Women’s Ministries Director for the Franco-Belgian Union, was invited to celebrate the Women’s Day of Prayer at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Place d’Italie in Paris. More than 60 persons were in attendance, and Corina had also invited her colleagues from her place of work. Thus three of them came to an Adventist church for the first time. Corina praises God for giving her the strength to present her topic with a heart filled with joy.
As many people do not know what Women’s Ministries is about Corina explained the work and mission of the department. Many men who attended the service came to Corina at the end to thank her for the presentation. The small giveaways that were prepared for the women caught the attention of the men and some who had come without their families asked for the surprize gifts in order to present them to their partners at home. Many people were interested in getting the powerpoint of the material presented. After the church service all were invited to partake of refreshments and enjoy companionship.
