March 7 is fast approaching – a day when Adventist women around the world will be actively participating in organizing church services focused on prayer. As every year the Women’s Ministries Department of the General Conference has prepared material that can be used for this purpose, thus making it easier for women to preach and lead out in prayer. This year’s material is available on the EUD Division Women’s Ministries website in various languages under women.eud.adventist.org/en/resources/
Prepared by Melody Mason, the sermon focuses on virtuous living in an unvirtuous world.
The three days of emphasis for Women’s Ministries in the world-wide church calendar are, in addition to the day of prayer, a day emphasizing the work of Women’s Ministries on the second Sabbath in June and the enditnow emphasis day on the fourth Sabbath in August focusing on ending violence against women and children. For each of these the Department prepares resource materials. The material for the Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day prepared by Heather-Dawn Small, GC WM Director, has just been released in English and is also available online under resources. Translations into the various languages are being prepared.
We encourage all churches and pastors to remember to consider these dates when they plan their services so that the local women’s groups are involved.
