This year, we shared the material of the International Day of Prayer with some delay at Caravaggio Church. On Saturday, May 18, Gisella Di Dio, local director of Women's Ministries, presented the theme “Ignite Your Prayer Life” and engaged the members. Bookmarks with the words “Prayer Ignites Change” were distributed to all. Prayer ignites hope. Prayer ignites unity. Prayer ignites forgiveness.”
We asked two men and two women to light candles to make it clear that Jesus invites us to be light in this world and that we must ensure that our flame shines. In the final part of the meeting, we formed four prayer groups and asked that the fire of the Holy Spirit not be extinguished but fuel our life of faith. We gave glory to God who urges us to make prayer a daily way of life. Just as the body needs food to nourish itself, prayer nourishes our spiritual life. There is a key that opens all doors. That key is prayer.
