On Sabbath, November 29, the Adventist church in Pordenone, in northeastern Italy, held an event organized by the local Women's Ministries (WM) Department, which the city's Ghanaian Adventist church also attended. WM director Sandra Garcia, in collaboration with Ghanaian WM leader Gifty Fosu, delivered the sermon on the theme of “Pain.” Two workshops were also held. In the first, each group had to draw a note from a basket. The note contained the name of a woman from the Bible who had experienced pain and overcome it through prayer. The group members had to discuss and draw conclusions about that woman's experience. The second workshop focused on personal experiences. The members of the various groups, divided according to the types of pain they had faced in their lives, had to comment on how they had managed to overcome their suffering through prayer. The day was enriched with songs and hymns. At the end of the day, all participants were pleased with the initiative.
