On November 27, 2025, a women's breakfast was organized with the topic “Celebrating Christmas – how do you do it?” After a delicious and hearty breakfast, the 25 participants, including 19 non-SDA women, reflected on terms that came to mind for each letter of the word Christmas.
A carol for the Advent season created a contemplative mood for the topic. In three groups at tables, the women discussed the following questions in depth:
Why do you celebrate Christmas?
Jesus – the light of the world: How is this light perceived in your own life and everyday routine?
How can each individual be a light?
What does it take to be a peacemaker?
The exchange was very enriching and profound. In between and at the end, two poems encouraged reflection and pause for thought.
On the theme of “being light,” each participant was allowed to choose a tea light displaying relationship-promoting terms and values. In addition, each woman received a small bag of cookies, an Advent calendar with good thoughts for each day of the Advent season, and a homemade soap as a gift.
After two and a half blessed hours, the women's breakfast ended with everyone singing a traditional carol “Es wird schon glei dumpa” together. The participants formed a circle, joined hands, and wished each other a peaceful Advent season and a blessed Christmas.
