Women meet for Inspiration

On Sabbath afternoon, October 29, 35 women from around the church district came together in Tuebingen, to reflect on what it means to experience God with Dany Canedo, Women’s Ministries Director for Germany. She began her remarks with, “You are all heroines because you have come to sit inside this building while you could be enjoying the mild, sunny weather outside.” Marion Knirr, WM leader for the Baden-Wuerttemberg Conference presented an overview of the various events coming up in the next year in her area. Many Ukrainian women who have found refuge in Tuebingen also attended and enjoyed the message with translation. Dany also invited the women to tell about how they had experienced God. One of the women from Ukraine told about their ordeal during the occupation of Bucha, and how they were able to escape with the help of a Russian soldier, comparing their experience to how God protected the Hebrews with the pillar of cloud when they escaped Egypt. The afternoon closed with a delicious cake buffet and fellowship. A big thankyou to the Women’s Ministries team of the local church for their efforts and all who participated to make this a memorable and inspiring Sabbath.
