As the Executive Secretaries and Treasurers of the 13 world Divisions of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church were elected, two women were included in the slate. Judy Glass and Ivelisse Herrera were confirmed in their positions as Division Treasurers for the North American Division and Inter-American Division respectively.
Among the Associate Secretaries of the General Conference, Karen J. Porter is the only woman, in a position that she has held for many years. Audrey Andersson as a General Vice President also works in a team as the only woman. Women remain underrepresented, but there is hope that with time, things could change, as the top leadership claims to be open to at least listening and talking.
