Women and Young People Organize Project in Romania

November and December were the months when young people together with the Women's Ministries Department of the Câmpina Petru Rareș church worked on a project entitled "Give Joy". In order to have enough funds to help, they organized a fair of goodies in which 3,000 lei were raised. With this money and other donations, 40 children from underprivileged families received clothes, boots, jackets, pyjamas, underwear, socks, toys and a packet of sweets. Cards with the children's names and needs were prepared, placed on a board, and some of the church members came and picked out a card. Then, everyone made sure to put in the package the articles according to the note. The ages of the children for whom the packets were prepared ranged from 3 weeks to 24 years.
On 23 December the project ended with children's party at the church to which children from underprivileged families were invited and where they also received the specially prepared package.
It was a special occasion where children, young people and adults got involved together to give joy. May God bless both those who gave and those who received!
