For over ten years, two sisters from the Adventist church in Linz, Austria, have sewn heart cushions for women suffering from breast cancer. The nurses and doctors at the Hospital of the Sisters of Mercy have repeatedly told us how happy the patients are when they find such a "heart" on their bed after their operation. Over time, our sisters have made over 4000 cushions. Their motivation: love for their fellow human beings, to bring joy to women in a very challenging situation.
‘Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’ This command from God applies to all believers at all times.
These two diligent seamstresses have now retired, having reached the age of eighty. The hospital thanked them warmly for their efforts and presented them with a beautiful flower bouquet
