The best-kept Secret

Enditnow® Day in Făgăraș, Romania

On Sabbath, November 25, 2023, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Făgăraș, Brașov County, joined the general society in the fight against violence for the third year in a row, hosting a panel discussion on "The Best Kept Secret".
The event organized by the Women's Ministries and Public Relations and Religious Freedom departments was attended by psychotherapist Florentina Coman, former police officer Nicolae Burz, and Pastor Mihai Miron, director of the Public Relations and Religious Freedom Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Southern Transylvania.
Moderator Rareș Moroșan and the three guests defined and exemplified the different forms of violence, with psychotherapist Florentina Coman stressing that all of us have at some point found ourselves in the role of aggressor.
In addition, Pastor Mihai Miron drew the attention of those present to the fact that "domestic violence is not only a problem of society but it is also found in different forms in religious environments", adding that the laundry soiled by violence must be taken beyond the Christian home and it is necessary to seek help, not to be washed at home until it is torn.
According to the organizers, the event aimed to raise awareness among the audience about the subtle forms of violence and its not-so-subtle effects on families, and to identify ways in which we can bring healing to families affected by this scourge.
