"It was a full day in the Șerbănești Church in Bacău on the occasion of the International Women's Day of Prayer. We had a full program from Friday evening when we read the greeting of Heather Dawn Small, Director of Women's Mission in General Conference. We talked about prayer, sang a lot, and experiences with answers to prayer were shared. Eight people presented how wonderfully God answered their requests.
The Sabbath morning spiritual message, "Prayer in the Last Days", was presented by Viorica Avrămiea, and in the afternoon the seminar "Why Prayer Matters" was presented by Iulia Onțanu, social worker. Flowers were offered to all the women and girls present, as well as to the members of the church, particularly the sick or elderly. Friends interested in God’s truth who were not present were visited at home. There were 80 people present in the morning and 30 in the afternoon. “We also thank our sisters at the General Conference for the excellent material prepared", noted Viorica Avramiea, who is in charge of the Singles Department of the Union Conference. "You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Saviour, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas” (Psalm 65:5 NIV)
