Special Women's Ministries Activity in A Coruña, Spain

Inspiration and Motivation

On Sunday, April 20, under cloudy skies and rain, the women of the Adventist Church in A Coruña experienced a morning full of light and fellowship thanks to a special activity organized by the Women's Ministries Department. The department's director, Luz Delgado, called the women of the church to share a breakfast designed not only for enjoyment, but also to get to know each other better and strengthen friendship bonds.
The day began with a hearty and delicious breakfast. While we shared food, we also shared conversations, laughter, and joy. With repleted energy, we participated in fun dynamics in which the participants were invited to look for others with certain characteristics, such as: those who have a hobby, speak more than one language, have been to more than two continents, are only daughters, etc. We thus discovered how much we have in common, but we also celebrated how unique God made us.
Special Prayer
Another creative activity led to a special prayer time: each sister received one half of a heart-shaped cookie, and had to find the person with the complementary half. When they had found each other, they prayed together, generating intimate moments of spiritual connection.

Next, our director shared an inspiring reflection based on Proverbs 4:23: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” This verse was the starting point for sharing about the importance of taking care of ourselves so that we can care for others.
Inspiring Women
During the meeting, the objectives, vision, and mission of the Women's Ministries Department were also presented. The purpose of this ministry is to spiritually nurture and support women in their Christian life as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of his worldwide church. Its mission is to inspire women to reach their full potential in Christ; to enable them to deepen their spiritual life and put their faith into action, using their gifts in the service of God, thus contributing to the hastening of Christ's return. It also seeks to minister with love and empathy to the spiritual, physical, mental, and social needs of women and children, showing God's love for humanity. In addition, the ministry is committed to nurture, encourage, challenge, equip, empower, support and inspire women in a unique and personal way to spread the gospel. The ultimate goal of the ministry is to exalt Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Finally, proposals for future activities were shared, and all were encouraged to contribute ideas, suggestions, and, above all, to offer their talents and gifts to work together for the spiritual growth of the women and the advancement of the Lord's work.
Without a doubt, it was an enriching morning in A Coruña, which left the hearts full, spirits motivated, and with a desire to continue growing in sisterhood and service.
