On May 25, the Adventist Church in Scafa, Italy, experienced an extraordinary Sabbath. Four young people, Ester, Miriam, Naomi, and Eduard, chose to dedicate their lives to God through baptism. The celebration was filled with emotion and spiritual significance. In addition, Grace, who comes from an evangelical background, expressed her desire to be part of our church. The testimonies of the four young people were touching, as were Grace’s best wishes. All five were enthusiastically and affectionately welcomed by the church, marking a new beginning in their faith journey. The event was enhanced by the presence of many friends and community members.
After the solemn moment of baptisms, officiated by Pastor Ludmila Biscardi, with much empathy and gentleness, the church gathered for a rich buffet. The variety and quality of the food, accompanied by warm hospitality, made the whole day a festive and convivial experience. Participants shared moments of merriment, further strengthening community bonds.
This special day represented not only a significant step for the newly baptized, but also a celebration of the unity of the Adventist church in Scafa. The church proved once again that it is an inclusive place, where every individual is welcomed with love and respect. The event will remain in the hearts of all present, as a symbol of hope, renewal, and the joy that comes from sharing one's faith with others. The church continues to grow as a united family, ready to joyfully embrace each new member. Pastor Ludmila is one of the Women’s Ministries Scholarship recipients of previous years and the WM Department is happy to see how her work is being blessed.
