Reunion of Women’s Ministries Pioneers in Germany

Retiring Leaders visit their Mentor

Four Women’s Ministries leaders from the first days met to remember their common time, to speak about the past and also about the joys, challenges and church politics of today. Ingrid Naumann is the woman who most influenced and shaped Women’s Ministries in Europe. Gerd-Laila Walter, WM Director of Austrian Union and Denise Hochstrasser, WM Director Inter-European Division started their careers with her as their precious mentor and counselor, and now both are about to retire.
There was so much to share and the joyful time passed much too fast. A special highlight for Ingrid was certainly that Heather-Dawn Small, WM Director General Conference, joined in this reunion. This was only possible because she was on her way from Mondsee Austria to Ammersee, Germany and Grafing was practically on the way.
All four colleagues and friends enjoyed this sharing and rejoicing in each other’s company, like in the old days. Both Gerd-Laila and Denise started their active WM life with Ingrid, and they wanted to close the circle by meeting for its end, too. They had a good time sharing and praying together. They hope to meet again soon.
