New Women’s Ministries Director in the Spanish Union

The Women’s Ministries Team in Spain has been doing valuable work in supporting women in church, society, and family. Recently Mª Mercedes Martínez Bou has been elected as the new Director for the Women’s Ministries Department. She will be a great asset to the department and the work in Spain.
Mercedes, lives in Parcent (Alicante) with her husband and daughter. She has studied psychology and worked as a teacher for many years. She has been active in many different departments of her local church, where she is an ordained deacon and elder, having served eight years in a pastoral function. She has been actively involved in Women’s Ministries for the last 12 years.
Mercedes is looking forward to being a blessing and helping to bring dignity to the lives of the women around us, whatever they think and believe, wherever they are from and wherever they are.
May God continue to bless the work being done for women in Spain and guide Mercedes as she takes up the leadership position.
