'And there is magic in every beginning' (Hermann Hesse). Korona Schreiter is the new Women's Ministries Director of the Berlin-Mid-German Conference, taking over from Gabriele Stangl, who retired this summer. September 2024 has given us not only the fall with its beautiful colors but also a new person in the leadership of the Women’s Ministries Department in eastern Germany in a 50% employment position.
Korona Schreiter, a woman in her prime, lives in Gera (Thuringia), loves nature and cats, and has an open heart and attentive ears for women's issues. She has been familiar with these issues through her work as a psychological counselor and health trainer for years. Nevertheless, she would like to consciously use the coming weeks and months to make contacts in the various local churches and provide impulses for women's needs-oriented programs. She is already looking forward to meeting women as well as men in person.
A warm welcome to the Women's Ministries Department team in Germany. At the same time, we want to thank Gaby Stangl for all that she has done during the past years for the women in her region through her radiant personality and input. As the initiator of the baby hatch in Waldfriede Hospital in Berlin during the time she worked as a chaplain, she has left indelible footprints wherever she has ministered. We hope she will enjoy her retirement as she can spend more time with her husband and little doggie.
