National Convention of Women’s Ministries of the Spanish Union of the SDA Church

This year about 100 women gathered at the church-owned activity centre of Entreprenas for a weekend and a special congress. The organizers of the convention wanted to portray a picture of authentic intimacy with God as it appears in the Scriptures and which God wants everybody to experience.
The guest speakers were Heather-Dawn Small, Women’s Ministries Director of the General Conference and Denise Hochstrasser, EUD. The Spanish Women’s Ministries leaders were in attendance as well as many friends of the department.
“The Best You Can Be” was the title of the convention and in addition to the topics presented by Heather-Dawn Small and Denise Hochstrasser we were able to share our life experiences, local projects and interesting topics for women from the different parts of Spain and look for solutions together. We spoke about the value of the gifts and talents of women and the awareness of the potential God has given to each woman he has called to His service.
The weekend spent together in praising the Lord and in communion with God and other women was a re-enforcement of the message of the Word of God and of the power of the Holy Spirit. Thanks be to God for the joy we experienced together and which we are looking forward to repeat at the next possibility.
