Living Stones

Women’s Ministries Convention in Northern Transilvania

"Woman, you are a living stone in Jesus Christ" was the title of the Women's Ministries (WM) Department's convention held November 15-17 at the Youth and Mission Center, in Răstoci. Romania. About 50 women leaders and co-laborers prayed together, trained, shared experiences, and enjoyed this blessed occasion. On Friday evening, Ștefan Tomoioagă, president of the Northern Transylvania Conference, urged the sisters to reconsecrate themselves to the service of God.
The women then received information about the projects of the WM departments at a national and Conference level and prayed for them. On Sabbath morning, Lidia Poll in her devotional spoke about the meaning of "stone" in Scripture. During Sabbath School, the testimonies of Abraham, Mary Magdalene, Pilate, and Thomas were interwoven with the personal testimonies of the participants, who praised God for His miracles in their lives. The lunchtime presentation entitled "Living Stones" was given by Simona Anca, director of the WM Department of the Northern Transylvania Conference. She helped the women to understand the difference between a brick and an ordinary stone, emphasizing the idea of edification and the need to build a community.
In the afternoon, a seminar for the Enditnow project and the health seminar entitled "God wants us to be healthy" presented by neurologist Cati S., opened new perspectives. The enditnow seminar was presented by Simona Anca, who raised awareness about the importance of knowing certain signs and situations of aggression and how to help people others. The second semnar highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle in totality. As a result, the women decided to improve their lifestyle to fully enjoy the gift of life and health to the glory of God. On Sunday morning, the devotional presented by Petronela Bob inspired a deeper connection with God, followed by a session on projects/programs and mission ideas, debated and analyzed by the participants who shared their experiences and various ways of implementation.
The program was sprinkled with uplifting music performed by Mădălina together with her little boy, the sisters from Săpânța and a sweet flute. The tasty food completed the joy of the meeting. May the Lord be praised for this marvelous spiritual rest filled with heavenly sweetness!
