Like the Song of a Bird

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Matthew 6:26 NIV

A little bird, barely visible in a tree with withered leaves due to the heatwave, was singing with all its might to cheer up a little the life of an exhausted woman.

She felt abandoned by her family and friends. In addition, an illness prevented her from breathing the fresh morning air and smelling the perfume of the roses that she loved so much.

This little creature impressed her. She opened the window and enjoyed the private concert as if it had been organized especially for her. While listening to this song, she spoke to this ball of feathers and thanked him with a big smile on her face.
This gift from heaven caused her to think, and suddenly she had the confirmation that God is present and that He knows how fragile she is.
From what seemed to be failed relationships and from her suffering due to her illness she learned a lesson: to avoid depression and drama, you have to aim higher. God helped and supported her in her efforts. She had just received the confirmation.

Every day we hope to hear good news. However, we are overwhelmed by dozens of bad news.
Believing in God's power and that we are more of more value than a bird is a balm to our wounded hearts.

The message of the Bible is clear: And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Mat 28,20 NIV These words are directed to all of us and we can experience his presence every day.
May God help us to recognize our value and to learn to trust him.
