The International Women's Day of Prayer was also celebrated in the Grant Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bucharest. On this occasion, the spiritual message "Transformed by Prayer" was delivered by Liliana Radu, Director of the Women's Ministries Department of the Romanian Union. She spoke about the importance of prayer in our lives, about the transforming power that prayer has on us, and about the fact that God listens to us and answers our prayers even in difficult times when we do not find a solution, if they are lifted up from the heart. Particularly uplifting music was poured into the hearts of the listeners by the community choir and community pastor Sorin Goleanu. He sang, to the praise of God, a song about motherhood.
Before the end, a collection was taken to support women victims of domestic violence in the ADRA House project, and at the end, all the women and girls present received a book (either Teach Us to Pray or Hope for Your Family), a flower and a calendar/bookmark. The fellowship meal was a great time, the vegetarian food was delicious and the joy of gathering together around the table made the day a fond and warm memory in everyone's hearts.
