International Day of Prayer

First Sabbath of March

Women around the world are preparing to organize church services and programs on the International Day of Prayer which is included in the special days of the Church Calendar on the first Sabbath in March every year.
The Women’s Ministries Department has prepared a packet to make it easy for women to preach a sermon or present a seminar on prayer on that day. Of course, the material can also be used on other dates.
The International Day of Prayer is one of three special days reserved for the Women’s Ministries Department and we encourage you to plan special events and services on these days. The Women’s Ministries Emphasis day is observed on the second Sabbath in June and the Enditnow Emphasis day is either on the fourth Sabbat in August or, as in some countries, around the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.
