Impulse Sabbath in the Hope Center, Bensheim, Germany

Who says ‘no‘ to herself cannot say ‘yes‘ to God

The Impulse Sabbath had been planned and prepared for a long time. The women from the Women’s Ministries team preached in surrounding churches on the Sabbath Morning. In the afternoon all gathered in the Hope Center in Bensheim for the topic: "All in" - open questions, longings, and the determination to hold on to God that was very lovingly carried out by Dany Canedo, the Women’s Ministries Director for the German Unions. The statement: He (She) who says "no" to himself (herself) cannot say "yes" to God! (a quote from Hermann Hesse), launched the topic, followed by the story of Jacob in Genesis 32, when Jacob wrestled with God. We received the invitation: To walk courageously into uncertainty, trusting in our Lord and Savior! Then miracles will happen! Isn't that a great invitation? The atmosphere in our Hope-Center Bensheim was wonderful. The ambiance, which was already radiated by the lovingly designed rooms and the joyful togetherness of all the women, as well as the exchange of ideas based on the theme, which was led by Dani Piroski, the conference WM director, was a real experience and made us forget our burdens and we found a place where we could take these packages and unpack them together.
