Faces of women

The 61st General Conference Session will soon pass into history. On the fifth day the Divisions present their reports that will certainly be available on the internet soon. It is a time for rejoicing in what has been achieved through the grace of God during the last 7 years. It is at the same a reward for all the hard work done during the business meetings and maybe even a consolation to all who were disappointed. May God bless his people wherever they are.
Looking back at the past week we want to show again some of the faces of women who participated. Some were there because of the work they do, others were delegates and a few were elected into positions of leadership. Enjoy the beautiful faces of God’s daughters, whatever they do.
Dr. Orathai Chureson was elected as GC Children's Ministries Director to replace the retiring Dr. Linda Koh.
Celeste Ryan Blyden is the executive secretary of the Columbia Union, the first woman to fill the role in this Union. She enjoyed meeting and learning so much from watching Dr. Ella Simmons chair segments of the GC Session. She is setting the standard for balancing excellence with grace! We are all going to miss her leadership as she retires this week.
Celeste also congratulates Audrey Andersson who was elected Vice President of our world church.
Robin Kajiura is the Executive Director for the General Conference Auditing Service. She shares how the church today has so many areas to serve in beyond the typical ones many think of.
Marcia McEdward, MENAU Health Ministries Director, shares about her experience living in Lebanon and the beauty of the resiliency of her community.
Danae Songy interviews Chantal Klingbeil, Associate Director of the Ellen White Estate. She can tell you more about the significance of Ellen White's writings.
Uma Edward Pilli, principal of the Seventh-day Adventist High School in Hyderabad, India, journeyed thousands of miles to participate in person at the GC session. Wilona Karimabadi of Adventist Review has written an Article about her: bit.ly/3tscJ3f
Nilde Itin was been elected to the position of Associate Director of the Women’s Ministries Department. We want to welcome her to her new position and wish her God’s blessings as she in the leadership of the Women’s Ministries Department.
Enjoy a quick glance at some of the women who were in St. Louis!
