Help for Women Victims of Domestic Violence

Romanian Women take up the challenge

I was listening to an interview with the psychotherapist Alina Bordaș Mohorea of the organization ADRA, in which she presented some practical ways how people can get involved and help victims of domestic violence. I heard the cry for help: "We would have liked to have kits of basic things for women victims of domestic violence, but we don't have the funds anymore". I immediately made a note and called her. After a few clarifications about the contents of the kit, with the aid of the directors of the Women's Ministries department of our Conferences (Mariana, Gianina, Alina, Daniela, Simona, and Anna), I passed the word on to sisters everywhere.
After a very short time, I received a message from the sisters at the Adventist Church in Băneasa that they wanted to join in helping. They mobilized and bought everything they needed for the women victims of domestic violence at Casa ADRA.
"There are many sisters who want to help, from Buzău and other places. They are mobilized and want to be part of this very long-term project," said Gianina Floricel, director of the Women's Ministries Department of the Muntenia Conference.
May God bless them and reward them and their families for their involvement and the joy with which they have taken up this challenge! May the Lord also bless the women who receive these things with the feeling that they are loved by God and that they are not alone in their trials!
