Heart-shaped Pillows for breast cancer patients

It all began three years ago

About three years ago Stefanie Hansen of the Seventh-Day Adventist church in Kisdorf (Germany) started sewing heart-shaped pillows with a group of women. “I wanted to give something to women after their breast surgery,” she says. Ever since the group meetings have become a regular part of the activities of the church. Meanwhile they also knit garments for premature babies and blankets for stillborn babies in addition to the pillows. Men and women, young people and old-age pensioners come together every second Sunday of the month to work together in a pleasurable atmosphere. The group is open to anybody who wants to help. Up to now the group has given away about 2000 pillows. Each is unique and prepared with love.
