"Healthy Women" Event in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

On Sunday morning, July 14, the “Healthy Women” event was held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The event was led by the Health Ministry, Women's Ministry and Prayer Ministry departments of the local church. A total of 42 women of all ages gathered in La Granja Parc, which is very close to the church. There we enjoyed a wonderful day outdoors, concentrating on both physical and spiritual health. We began with a reflection on these health aspects, continued with a moment of prayer and then we conducted a raffle of sports equipment among the attendees (mats, elastic bands, medicine balls, and sports shirts) that were donated by a local sports supplier “Med: Deportes Salud.”
A master class
Later, Carlos Sousa, a friend of some church members the program who has a degree in physical education and is a specialist in exercise and sports medicine led a magnificent exercise class adapted for all the participants. As a culmination of the event “Healthy Women”, we enjoyed a great and complete healthy breakfast prepared and served with love and dedication by five husbands of attendees. This was a fun day in which all were able to do healthy exercise, pray in nature, and become better known to the many people from the city who visit the park. It was definitely an enriching day for all the attendees and a great blessing that we hope to repeat.
