When the rape fields are in bloom, it's time for the women’s weekend at Lake Wittensee. We arrived on Friday, April 25, as friends full of expectations. Dagmar Janssen (pastor in the Rostock district) helped us understand who the women in Jesus' family tree were. We know Ruth or Mary, the mother of Jesus. But who was Tamar? Or Bathsheba? Four special women in the family tree of Jesus. They are role models for us; if not everything goes according to plan, we can overcome anything with God's strength and blessing.
The wonderful weather motivated us to go for a walk along the Wittensee.
One group took advantage of this to go on a prayer walk. What a wonderful way to get closer to God.
Here is some feedback from the participants to the question, What do I take with me?
I was blessed, enriched and deeply touched. God came personally, very close to me. The fellowship was soooo good!
Blessed conversations, new insights from God's word, happy times together. Mutual respect and open fellowship. Good food, loving care from the team at the recreation center.
Lots of new impressions/insights into the old "story. Thanks to Dagmar and everyone who shared their stories with us so openly and touched my heart.
Hope and joy.
