Go Find My Sheep

Enditnow Emphasis Day

In many countries the Enditnow Emphasis Day is being observed on a Sabbath close to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.

The Women’s Ministries (WM) Department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists prepares material each year for local churches. This year, under the title “Go Find My Sheep,” the program will focus on making all of us aware that more than ever victims of abuse need to know that Jesus cares about them and that it is part of our responsibility to go out and minister to them as He did. The WM Department in Spain is encouraging all local churches to participate in presenting the material on Sabbath, November 23, as a special day of emphasis.
There is also a seminar prepared for the afternoon, entitled “The Trauma-informed Church” that emphasizes the need for the church to operate at all times with sensitivity, care, and compassion, creating a safe environment where all people can worship, and being prepared to help traumatized people heal.
Why do we need a special enditnow emphasis day? Because unfortunately...
1 in 3 women suffer gender-based violence in the world.
Domestic violence continues to occur, even among Christian families.
There are still those who have not understood the message Adventists Say No to Violence.
We need more and more people to have the tools to help the endangered.
The WM department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Spain desires, and urges us, to pray that our congregations, under God's guidance, become safe and supportive places, oases of Jesus' love.
May all the churches in Spain share this “Go Find My Sheep” program. May it be a blessing for each one of them.
