Girls4Christ Open House

On Sunday, November 11, 2018, the Girls4Christ team had prepared special activities in the Adventist Church in Cadempino. Seven girls and three facilitators spent time together in a Christian context. They prepared crafts for sale at various Christmas markets and churches in Ticino with the aim of raising funds for a special Girls4Christ weekend in a beautiful place. There were also three boys who came with their mothers in order to support the project. Nayana Züger was in charge of this part. Of course there was also a nice snack for all. The meditation on the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 was presented by Martha Santana, and we read the whole chapter, talked and considered questions that came up on the topic. The girls were able to express their thoughts and realized that our outer beauty is only temporary. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” (Proverbs 31,30 NIV). Our wish and prayer is that all the girls will become virtuous women with the help of our great God. The girls are already looking forward to the next Girls4Christ meeting. For the facilitators this work is a great joy. This time we saw how a girl, a friend of Martha's daughter, joined in the activities and became a part of the group.
