On Sunday, February 25, interested girls from the church district gathered with their friends in the Tübingen Seventh-Day-Adventist church for a day of activities. After an abundant brunch the girls enjoyed an ice-breaker game after which Jasmin Stanoschefsky, Women’s Ministries leader for the Baden-Württemberg Conference, presented the day’s topic “Unique – Wonderfully Made”.
The idea that every life is a wonder and at the same time desired by God made a deep impression on the hearts of the girls. In the following group discussion they expressed from what perspective they would in future consider not only other people but also themselves and the flaws they tend to discover in themselves.
As usual the devotional time was followed by various workshops like: “Handlettering”, Karaoke, papier mâché, Origami lanterns etc. The participants themselves also offered workshops. One of the young women had prepared a choreography for a Zumba routine which many brave girls and leaders tried out with more or less success.
A particular bonus was that each girl who did not yet have a Bible of her own was presented a Bible bound in white which she was able to decorate in an individual way.
We are thankful for this valuable and meaningful project for our girls and young women. Our gratitude is also directed toward the team of mentors from the various participating churches, who are indispensable for such a project.
