Chairman of the Nominating Committee John Wesley Taylor V said, “The Nominating Committee decided that as [the general vice presidents] function as a team, together—the Nominating Committee would like to recommend these names to you as a team.”
They were probably chosen to represent the geographical and ethnic spread of the church, with three new names on the team. The women of the church (65% ) are also represented by one woman (1 of 7).
