The Women’s Ministries Department of the Northern France Conference organized a trip to Greece from June 17 to 24, 2018, for women following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. It was an educational journey informing about the scope of evangelism in New Testament times. Two professional guides, Irini Kompocholi, a greek archeologist, and pastor Jean-Jack Chafograck, a specialist in New Testament history presented old stones and ancient history in a detailed way that created passionate interest in the 25 participants. The cities of Thessaloniki, Philippi, Corinth and Athens opened up their treasure of ancient remains and history, and particularly the traces of the extraordinary missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. One of the participants expressed what the trip meant for her when she said, “This trip has reconciled me with Paul. I always considered him misogynic. Today I appreciate this man, his strong character, his intellectual capacities and his message centered on the Christ who died for us and was resurrected.”
