The fourth Sabbath of August (August 23,2025) is the official Enditnow Emphasis Day of the Seventh-day Adventist church, co-sponsored by the Women’s Ministries Department and six other departments of the General Conference: Children's Ministries, Education, Family Ministries, Health Ministries, Ministerial Association, and Youth Ministries. In many parts of the world, this emphasis day is observed in November, close to the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25). Raising awareness against violence in its multifaceted forms is important, whenever it is most suitable for the local churches to address this problem. The General Conference provides material to help address the need to end all forms of violence. The documents for this year include a children's story, sermon, and seminar scripts in MS Word | Sermon PPT | Seminar PPT. We encourage you to use these resources in your church's enditnow® Emphasis Day program.

As Women’s Ministries in many European countries observe the day in November, the translations will be forthcoming in the next few months.
This year’s emphasis is on raising awareness against Elder Abuse. The Bible teaches us to care for and show respect to aging people. In some cultures, it is a must, but, unfortunately, in others, it is a forgotten value. The elderly are often ignored, mocked, pushed to life’s margins, or left to themselves by their children and friends. This is not how God planned it to be. Let us refresh our knowledge on this issue and advocate for respect, care, and the involvement of elderly people in our lives.
But there are also other events around the world addressing varying facets of abuse. Whenever you observe the Enditnow Emphasis Day, it is important to raise the awareness that Adventists say NO to abuse and violence.
The Adventist Women Australia 2025 enditnow National Summit will address Headship Theology, Patriarchy and Other Dangerous Ideas in a Panel discussion on Friday, August 22. You can join them for the livestream on Friday August 22nd at 7:30pm AEST (They are 8 hours ahead of us in Central Europe = 11:30 am CEST).

One of the panelists ist Megan Cousins, a social worker who has worked in both public and private health, including crisis work and child protection. She currently works as a team leader and case officer with the survivor services team at Adsafe. Megan has always been drawn to working within the sphere of abuse of power and working with women and children and challenging social norms that harm.
