Course Summary
The North American Division recognizes that women and children, as well as men, are victims of abuse. God abhors abuse of EVERY kind. We're working to create safe churches through awareness, education, and training.
This training is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognize signs of abuse, respond appropriately, and support those in need. We’ll explore practical strategies, engage in meaningful discussions, and work together to strengthen our collective ability to prevent and address abuse effectively.
Creating a safe and supportive environment starts with each one of us. Through our collective efforts and with God’s grace, we can make a profound difference in preventing and responding to abuse. Your dedication to this mission reflects the love and care that Christ calls us to show one another.
What do I need to know?
Safeguarding Peace is the training arm of enditnow, providing education to those interested in becoming ambassadors or advocates in fighting against abuse of all kinds.
This training is to become a Safeguarding Peace ambassador. An enditnow ambassador plays a vital role primarily promoting awareness to prevent abuse within their local church and surrounding community. The role of an enditnow Ambassador includes raising awareness, educating and equipping your church community with important resources, providing referrals to professional help for survivors, building safe spaces by advocating for an inclusive, respectful church culture, and being a voice for change in your church and larger communities.
This role is different than an enditnow advocate. An enditnow advocate receives additional training that allows them to support survivors of abuse by facilitating the process from disclosure to obtaining necessary services. This includes quick connecting the victim-survivor to appropriate services and resources.
