Children Celebrate Enditnow Day

The Women’s Ministries department director Lidia Lixandroiu and Mihaela Lascu from Mărăsesti Church, Campina, who directs the Licurici Natanael Club (a Youth Department children’s club), decided to have a very special 25th of November, Enditnow Day. Licurici Natanael Club, made up of children from Mărășești, Petru-Rareș, Sălaj and Urleta churches wanted to help people, both children and adults, to be aware of violence against adults and children. So, helped by their instructors, they prepared 119 packages and 119 leaflets about the elimination of violence against children and adults.
They distributed the packages and flyers in the center of Campina to all the people passing, in schools, in kindergartens, among the neighbors in Campina, and, also, in schools in the towns of Urleta and Breaza. The leaflets called ”The Pain Is Not Love” contained information and alarm signals about situations of violence against adults and children and called for ending violence by loving and caring behavior towards adults and children. The packages contained a balloon, a wafer, a children’s, and a book for grown-ups.
The surprise of this project came from a situation when doctor Ovidiu Popa Balaban, an Adventist psychiatrist, whose child attends the Licurici Natanael Club, wanted to help the coordinators of the program with the leaflets. He promised to print the leaflets, but his printer broke down. And because the flyers were needed urgently, he went to the hospital where he works, to ask the manager for permission to print the leaflets there. He received the permission, but the manager of the hospital liked this project and, by mutual agreement, they decided to print another 140 leaflets. These leaflets were given to the patients and employees of the hospital as well as the people from the vaccination center.
Due to this wonderful event, the small participants from Licurici Natanael Club got an invitation to come again to the hospital on December 21 to sing carols for the sick children there. At the same time, the children from the hospital will join in singing carols with the children from the Club.
